Vinyl Monkeys – 3 ‘young lads’ from West Dorset making a name for themselves on the local music scene
the band was formed in march 2000……….
all three members had been regular working musicians for a number of years but had gradually realised that they weren’t playing the music they really wanted to play……….
friends for 15 years but a chance meeting of all three sowed the seeds that grew into the vinyl monkeys………
they quickly realised that they had a mutual taste in music……….
the band was formed – a short intensive rehearsal period and then an initial ‘warm up’ gig quickly snowballed into a busy working schedule……….
the band soon began to attract a good following at regular venues in poole taunton and exeter……….
the band continues to go from strength to strength with a core following of fans across the south west……….
